Privacy Notice

This explains what we do with your email address when you join the Genowide waitlist. We've kept it short and in plain English because a company asking you to trust it with genetic information one day should also be able to explain how it handles a mailing list today.
Genowide is not yet available. Right now this website has one purpose: to collect your email address so we can let you know when we launch.
We do not collect health or genotype information through this waitlist, and we will not do so until the product is available and you have separately provided your explicit consent.
Who we are
Genowide is a genotype matchmaking product in development, with a London-first launch planned.
Data controller: Ademola Balogun. Genowide is not yet incorporated. Until it is, Ademola Balogun is the data controller for the waitlist. Once the company is incorporated, this notice will be updated with the company name, registration number and Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) registration number.

What we collect
On this waitlist site we collect only your email address, the time you joined (UTC), the consent wording you saw, and technical anti-abuse signals (such as IP-based rate limiting) that are never used for marketing or profiling.
IP addresses used for rate limiting are retained for no more than 24 hours.
We do not collect passwords, names, ages, cities, photos, or genotype or health data through this waitlist page.
Why we collect it
Lawful basis: your consent. You give your consent by submitting the waitlist form and, where applicable, confirming your email address. You may withdraw your consent at any time, and withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.
We use your email address to notify you when Genowide launches and to send occasional updates about our progress. We do not use your email address for unrelated marketing, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Providing your email address is entirely voluntary. If you choose not to join the waitlist, the only consequence is that we will not be able to notify you when Genowide launches.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your email. If we use an email delivery provider to send waitlist messages, that provider will process data under contract with us and only for that purpose.
Where your data is stored
Our website and email are currently hosted in the United States by our provider. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on approved safeguards to protect it. Before Genowide handles any health or genotype information, all such data will be stored in the UK or European Economic Area.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or we close the waitlist after launch invitations have been sent — whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record that you did so, purely to make sure we don't email you again by mistake.
Cookies & analytics
This site does not use Google Analytics or advertising cookies, so we don't need to show you a cookie banner. If we add cookieless analytics later for basic visitor counts, we'll update this notice.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to our use of it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link. For anything else, email support@genowide.com and we'll respond within one month, usually much sooner. There's no charge. We don't make automated decisions about you, and we don't profile you. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first — we'd like the chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk · 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change anything meaningful, we'll update the date at the top and, where it matters, email you to say so. We won't quietly start using your data for something you didn't agree to.
Pre-launch note
Genowide is not yet a live matching or medical service. When product accounts open for beta, we will invite waitlist members by email and publish an updated privacy notice covering that product.
